UCM

I had a very blessed time at UCM today- we read from James 2:16-24 about action and faith. Reinforcing that action is central to our faith-- even evil spirits, demons believe in a powerful God, so what good is faith alone?

Everyone in the room was asked to share those areas in life that touch us the most, what breaks our hearts the most. For me, I said teenagers or people in general who are suicidal, or ones that are rendered hopeless. I wish to restore hope to people-- to prevent them from taking their lives.

There is so much hope in the world, despite what we see. As long as there's life there's hope. Additionally we talked about loving selflessly and unconditionally. I wish to do this more, to forget myself in my love for others. One girl suggested that our biological process even advances this--that when we smile endorphins are released to make us feel happy. In this sense, our actions can override how we feel..even create feeling. I feel a change in me for the better. I hope this will be the start of a life of giving love.

Don't completely forget yourself in your love for others! Loving self is essential too :)
