Just like brushing your teeth?

It seems these days that marriage is something you do....

Just like brushing your teeth, getting a full time job, or going to school. You finish school, get married, and then have kids, right? That's the plan.

Perhaps marriage isn't just "something you do" when you find the right guy to spend the rest of your life with...a guy you really love, and who really understands you and accepts you, who loves you.

If marriage really is the union of two souls, then I think it should be a lot more profound than "something you do"...and I don't really think it should be expected for everyone's life.

I find it hard harmonizing with myself, let alone, someone else. I love how the cross is in the background in the picture. Jesus' bride is the church (us who believe) and he died for us. Likewise, we should experience the same type of relationship in a marriage. If God ordained marriage, then it has to be absolutely beautiful when conducted right. When you think about it like that...which I think is the way it should be thought about, then marriage is truly beautiful.

haha, glad it serves to do that! I think we kinda always need a reminder about what marriage is all about esp in the society we live in!
